Polyvore

Recently I have rediscovered Polyvore. I created an account about two years ago, but back then I used it mostly just to look at other sets. A few months ago I began creating my own for a while but I soon became so busy, I had to stop. This past week I had some time on my hands to I began creating sets again. This one I did just for fun because I am a HUGE fan of Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder. They are both amazing on the Vampire Diaries and they are such amazing people. Ian is constantly trying to raise money and awareness about the environment around us. He is always reminding people that the animals live on this planet! Nina is a such sweetheart. She seems like such a great person! I love them both to death and when I saw that they went to Coachella it inspired me to make this:

I love the dress she is wearing. The color looks fabulous on her. She paired it with the belt which was a smart move because it gave a better shape to the dress as a whole. Though she is not wearing the hat in the picture, there were other pictures of her wearing a big sun hat like the one next to the picture on the bottom left of the set. In both pictures she is wearing a small bag. I love this bag! It is a Mulberry Lily leather shoulder bag, according to Polyvore. To get one by this brand name would be insanely expensive! It is about $775! A little too much if you ask me. But I want a knock off version. Something a little less expensive but the same size, color, and general style. To top it all off, she has the best accessory, Ian Somerhalder! All in all a great look!

This next set was inspired by Ashley Benson. Though I don't love her style for the most part, I thought that this look was super cute. And, she has the cutest dog ever!

One of my most recent sets is inspired by Emma Watson. I love her to death. She is such a genuine person and she has a great sense of style! She is so sweet and she looks great with almost any hair cut. I love her with the long dark locks. It is something different, but it definitely works for her. This is of her out an about on the "Bling Ring" set. I am not sure what this movie is about, but I would definitely be interested in seeing it if she is starring in it! This is such a great outfit, I especially love the bag and shoes she is wearing with it. I am also dying to get a pair of glasses like hers!

If you like these sets, take a look at more that I have designed on Polyvore. You can follow me! My username is katiemound123. It is a ton of fun, I encourage you to try it if you are at all interested!

Aria Montgomery: Favorite Outfits

I love the whole look of wearing a jean jacket over a floral dress. It toughens up the dress but it still gives a flirty look. I could not find an image of this entire outfit full on, but I hope this will do! Though you cannot see the bag clearly in these images, it seems to go really well with this outfit. The same with the shoes. Personally, I would pair this dress with a pair of booties or a pair of combat boots. Because of the bold floral print, this outfit does not need to be heavily accessorized.

Aria/Lucy has worn this jacket before. I believe she wore it early on in season one (?). Personally, I love this outfit because she really pulls off the maxi skirt. She still looks rather flirty though she is not wearing something low cut or short. I also really love the belt and the shirt. I would have never thought to pair them together but it looks incredible. I also really like her earrings (though they are not pictured well here). I also adore the maxi dress. The color is fabulous and so is the design. All in all, fabulous!

I really like these three looks because they are both simple and can be easily recreated in my own wardrobe. The necklace in the top left picture is super cute. We never really see Aria in pinks, but I think that this works well for her. Also, it is a subtle look. Nothing too extravagant. The shirt pictured in the top right is amazing. I am dying to know where I could get a shirt like this. I love it because the color is not bold and can be worn with almost anything. Usually I am not a huge fan of ruffles but in this case it really works! In the bottom picture, Aria/Lucy looks really mature. This outfit is really well put together as most of her outfits are.

This is another classic Aria look. The print is super cute. The heels are gorgeous and put together with the blazer it is a great combination. Aria wears a lot of dresses that are tight on the top but they start to flare at the waist. The blazer really dresses the look up and is essential to the entire outfit. The outfit below is another amazing one. She looks red hot in this outfit. I am not in love with the pattern at the top, but I think it is a great look.

The layering in this outfit is genius! Though I am not in love with the shoes I think that the look works completely. The bag that I mentioned in another post reappears in this look. I found out that it is from Urban Outfitters, but is currently sold out in this color. Though Emily is usually the one to wear the jean skirts on the show Lucy/Aria pulls it off really well. I don't think I would ever wear this outfit myself, I think she looks amazing!

This is another example of Aria's fit and flare dresses. It is super flattering and can be worn in summer and winter. She is wearing another shirt underneath the dress which works really well in this case. It is a much more youthful look, but I still really like it.

I am in love with this jacket, plain and simple! It is amazing! I really want to find out wear it is from. As I have mentioned before, the bag with this look, is super cute as well. I really want to find a decent messenger bag because it can be used with almost any casual outfit. It is really great for any student. Super practical! But this jacket is probably one of my favorite pieces on the show. Ever.

Aria Montgomery: Reality Bites Me

First off, these boots are AMAZING! I love them! Plus, the bag is super cute as well. This is a classic Aria look. Her use of layer is unparalleled. Not only has she layered her shirts she also has layered her skirt. Though I do not believe that the color scheme would look particular good on me, it looks superb on her. The outfit is not stylized with bold accessories. Has it been, the outfit would have been overpowered. Leaving it without a large necklace or earrings was definitely the right choice.

I am still trying to figure out where the bag is from but, I know where most of the other articles of clothing are from. The skirt is from AC Sport while the underskirt is from Alice and Trixie. The vest is from Bailey and the overshirt is from Ann Ferriday. My personal favorite, the boots, are from Vintage.

Note: The bag is from Urban Outfitters

Aria Montgomery: Bird Necklace

This outfit is pretty plain for Aria. She has a very eclectic style and this is more normal than you would expect from her. However, I still really like it. It is casual, comfortable, and chic. Plus, the necklace she is wearing is to die for. It makes the entire outfit. The clothes she is wearing are casual. Though there is nothing special about her heels I think they are extremely cute. They could be worn with pretty much anything. A serious must in anyone's wardrobe! From these pictures you cannot see much about the bag she is carrying, but it is very much what is to be expected from Aria. She uses many messenger bags. I would love to have a bag like this. It is really practical and stylish. It is a great size and it goes with everything. Perfect for students.

The necklace is from Marc by Marc Jacobs. It is really gorgeous and it speaks to Aria's personality. She loves butterflies and nature and this necklace highlights that. In addition to that, it is also a unique piece. I don't think I have ever seen any other necklace quite like it. I would kill to have this necklace!

I did some research and found out, for those who are interested, that the sweater is from Jamison. Also, the leggings were from American Apparel and her shoes were from Asos

Aria Montgomery Pretty Little Liars Fashion Show

First off, the episode in which this dress was featured, was excellent. I am a little in love with Drew Van Acker who plays Jason Dilaurentis.

I love everything about this dress! The length of the dress is a little short, though, personally, I like it. I also adore the shade of purple. It is the pure genius of Alexander McQueen. The heels that were paired with this look amazing as well. The stylist paired the dress with a white necklace. Though I like it, I don't love it as much as I love the dress. It was definitely the right choice to wear a necklace with this dress. Without it, the dress would look a little too plain. The necklace fills the space between Lucy/Aria's bust and neck.

Even though I love this dress so much, I am unsure if I would be able to pull it off nearly as well as Lucy/Aria. As you can see the most clearly in the first picture, the dress flares out at the waist. Though this adds a little shape it also draws attention to the person's stomach. Unless you have an amazing body, the dress would most likely be unflattering.

All in all, it is an amazing dress that I would be honored to wear. Lucy/Aria does a great job pulling the dress off and the stylist did a fantastic job accessorizing. Flawless work!
